“People with existing psychiatric illnesses or and old psychiatric illness to return”
So if you have never been diagnosed with a mental illness and have adverse effect from Chantix, welcome to the game.

LOL. Of course it will cause people suicidal thoughts! Just think of it: this medicine actually BLOCKS receptors that produce dophamine and make you happy. So, after Chantix blocks those receptors you’ll feel even more “down” and NOTHING will make you happy because there’s no way dophamine can be release because the Chantix is there.
Also, on Chantix website they say that Chantix is “believed” to do this or that. LOL. “Believed”??? Not schientific then if it’s “believed”

Yeah, I’ve been taking it for 4 days now, and It’s making me feel like shit. I’m having suicidal thoughts, but I’m not going 2 act on them. My brother took it and he was acting weird on it. He didn’t care about anything. I didn’t know it could fuck up ur driving. Thought I was swerving a little bit the other night. I wouldn’t take this shit, I think it’s worse than nicotine cravings, and it makes u feel sick to your stomach all the time. Wellburtin makes me feel tired all the time. U can’t win.

My girlfriend is trying to quit using this product now, constantly feels like she’s losing her mind, can’t concentrate, depressed, she feels withdrawn from people. She’s acting differently towards everyone including her children.
She was a upbeat happy person before taking this drug, all i can hope for is she returns to normal after she stops taking it. Its at the point now where i feel it could ruin out relationship. I wouldn’t recommend this drug for anyone.

msprof68, is the depression over now? Did you ever have depression before using this drug? I have been on it for 12 days now and did have a crying jag last night. Felt very sad and lonely. I am down to two cigs a day from a pack a day. I told my husband to keep an eye on me as I am a little scared.

My mother smoked for 50 years and quit with chantix. She died of lung cancer 6 months later. I can’t blame Chantix for my mother’s choices in life, but it’s odd when I called the 1-800 number moments after the commercial warning the number was “no longer in service” and “no further information was avialable”. I’m guessing the wonderful FDA will now rush in to “protect the consumer”. I’m sensing a pattern forming here…

Its not perfection.. its a clear DETERMINATION!!.. If you are fucking determind.. You can stop smoking!!You can break the impossible..And before you can do it you must believe that you can!! Its not arogance.. its a DECISION to make!!

Not many people can use this drug safely. There is a chemical reason why it’s so difficult to quit so it NOT mind over matter. Quitting smoking was MUCH easier 20 years ago because the cigarettes have many more chemicals these days, which makes them MUCH more addictive.

Human beings are so controlled by the TV and all the commercial programming, they feel sick and in need of each new drug that comes out. Most times they create the drug first, and then create the disease in our minds; restless leg syndrome. (grin)

Truthers versus Liars, pick a side and support it.
You can make a choice to mentally interrupt the behavior of buying and smoking cigarettes. Try saying to yourself is this helpful or hurtful every time you have the urge.
There are other means but that’s a good place to start.

Hello people! Wake up to a fact that more people DIE from LEGAL Pharmaceutical drugs every year than from all of the illegal drug deaths combined! Add to that the terrible complications and side-effects produced by “doctor” prescribed drugs, and the toll of human suffering produced by “FDA” approved DRUGS is enormous! Not to mention alcohol, tobacco and coffee, all “legal” drugs which cause more deaths and health related issues than ALL the “illegal” drugs combined! So what does that tell you?

You can stop smoking without this drug!! Mind over matter!! To stop smoking is a decision to make in your life!!Smokers who can’t quit are absolutely failures!!Failures to make a decision for their life!!!!!!!!I was a smoker before>>>

This is absolutely on target…. I speak from experience. Fortunately, I did quit smoking, almost 8 months ago. But at a VERY high price. Even if I am the exception and not the rule, no one should take this drug without realizing the risks. Make sure someone watches you at all times as you take this drug. And, make sure someone watches you when you STOP taking it. For me, the depression got worse after I stopped taking it. Good luck everyone…..
