I understand that links that lead to a website increase the website’s importance in searches. But what is a back-linking tool and how does it work? Thank you.

There are certain type of software that has directories stored in their database. you have to just enter your website or article details into it and just have to click on the submit button. All the directories stored in that software will link back to your website/article.
But it is highly recommended that please don’t go for this kind of software as they can harm your website’s reputation.
Thanks
